Science teacher, Will Robertson, reminded the Stone Ridge community to catch the total lunar eclipse on Sunday night, January 20 between 10:33 pm until 1:50 am. While the total lunar eclipse is more common than a solar eclipses, it is still a pretty awesome thing to behold. This eclipse and full moon is the wolf moon, and it appeared blood red at full eclipse (running from 11:41 pm to 12:43 am). The moon was maximally shadowed by the Earth at 12:12 am.
If you bundled up and braved the freezing cold, you were in for a scientific treat.
If you were sound asleep, have no fear. EdTech teacher Rick Alfonso filmed a time lapse and stills of the Super Blood Wolf Moon over Bethesda, MD.
