Our Stone Ridge Grade 5 soccer team closed out the season by hosting the Washington School for Girls on Gator Field for a fun evening of competition. If you were one of the lucky ones to witness the game, you would agree that the game was meant to happen! Our team, coach (Kevin Lange), and the Athletic Department wanted the game to offer a powerful showing of Goal III, "A Social Awareness Which Impels to Action," Goal IV, "The Building of Community as a Christian Value," and finally, Goal V, "Personal Growth in an Atmosphere of Wise Freedom."
The team celebrated new friendships with WSG by enjoying a pizza party immediately following the game. While competing was a nice byproduct of the day, the overwhelming positive feelings, energy, and excitement were obvious, and the day created a wonderful memory for all involved. Congratulations to Grade 5 soccer for a successful end to a terrific season! #goSRgators #SRtogether #GatorStrong
