Katie Barnett '23 had a busy summer, completing a six-week summer program at Culver Woodcraft camp in Culver, IN. As a third-year camper, Katie earned her "Gold C" for completing the camp's junior division, known as Butterflies. At the camp's season-end award ceremony, Katie was named winner of her division's individual award for Indian Crafts.
At camp Woodcraft (a co-ed camp for nine to fourteen year-olds), Katie joined hundreds of campers from dozens of states and countries around the world, lived in an open-air cabin, made her bed daily (that must pass inspection), and learned to support fellow campers. Katie's family has a history with Culver, as Katie's grandparents taught art at Culver and her mom attended "Winter School" at Culver, as well as was a counselor at Woodcraft during her college years. #SRsummer
