Anna Stallings '20 and Hallie Stallings '22 Impelled to Act
After recent hurricanes that ravaged Texas and Florida, Stone Ridge student-athletes Anna Stallings '20 and Hallie Stallings '22, approached Athletic Director Jason McGhee with a desire to help those in need. Not surprised at all by their generosity, McGhee encouraged them to come up with ideas on how to help. The Stallings suggested the Kelvin Sampson Hurricane Harvey Relief Efforts, which asks coaches and athletes to donate sneakers and shirts to those affected by the hurricane.
The very next day the first box of sneakers and shirts was off to Houston, and within 48 hours several more boxes were sent along, with additional efforts by the School to support the Houston area as well as support our fellow Sacred Heart schools.
A Sacred Heart school is bound by the Goals of a Sacred Heart Education, including Goal III which, "commits to educating to a social awareness which impels to action." Thank you Anna and Hallie for being Gator Strong and living out our Goals. #GatorStrong #GoSRGators
