Margaret Wroblewski '13 is pursuing her graduate degree in new media photojournalism at the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design at George Washington University. She has created a photo project entitled "I Was on the Metro When" which brings to light individuals' experiences with sexual harassment while riding mass transit in the nation's capital.
Margaret began this project after she herself experienced sexual harassment while on the Metro. The project features photos and testimonies from women and men who have experienced harassment and sexual assault on public transportation. Margaret then shares their stories on Instagram and her web page. She hopes to eventually exhibit her project in Metro stations to increase awareness to the harassment and to help stop them from occurring.
